Play Virtual Golf for a chance to

Maumee, OH — (Sept. 6, 2001) —
Friendly Software, creator of some of the world’s most popular virtual golf
games, and PowerGolfAsia, Ltd., a sport and new media company, today launched
the World Tours Online Golf Championship, a worldwide virtual golf tournament
that will send one lucky winner and a guest to China’s Mission Hills Golf Club &
Resort in November.
The event runs Sept. 6 through Oct.
15 and is open to anyone with a copy of the AboutGolf.com World Tours golf game
for personal computers. Prospective participants can download a free copy of the

and enter the event.
The World Tours Online Golf
Championship will include an 18-hole qualifying event in two divisions, the
Asia/Australia Division (open only to residents of Asia or Australia), and the
World Division (open to anyone in the world). The Top 50 scorers plus ties in
each division will qualify for a second 18-hole round in the Championship Event.
Scores from the Qualifying Event will carry over to the Championship Event,
meaning the Championship Event score will be for 36 holes (qualifying round plus
championship round). The winner of the Championship Event will receive the Grand
Prize trip to China.
The grand prize winner and a
companion will be flown to Mission Hills during a two-day visit by Tiger Woods,
and be VIP guests to attend numerous functions related to Tiger’s visit.
Continental Airlines, which recently expanded service to Asia, will supply air
travel for the lucky winners. The prize includes:
Three nights’ lodging and
meals at the luxurious 5-star Mission Hills Resort.
A round of golf at the
ultra-private Mission Hills Golf Club, home of the 1995 World Cup.
VIP passes to Tiger’s clinic,
where the Grand Prize winner will participate as a special guest to meet and
interact with Tiger.

exhibition with Tiger and three Asian pros.

Additional prizes will be awarded in
Asia/Australia Division qualifying event. The top 100 finishers in the World
Division qualifying event will receive World Tours Online “skins,” which can be
