With Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty set to release on PS4 in just a few short days, Just Add Water has revealed two special bonuses that'll be available through pre-order.
The first is "Alf's Escape," an all-new area of RuptureFarms filled with additional puzzles and fiendish hazards. In this piece of content, you'll have to use Abe's haphazard skills to sneak Alf out of the factory and get him to freedom. This will also feature its own PSN leaderboards so you can compete with your friends to see who can rescue Alf the fastest. Anyone who pre-orders Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will get Alf's Escape for no extra cost when it's released as DLC shortly after release.
The second piece of special content is "Scrub Abe," a traditional factory cleaner's outfit complete with striped loincloth and scalp cap. The Scrub Abe costume will be exclusive to pre-orders, and will be available on release date.
In addition to these fun add-ons, pre-ordering Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty also means you'll be able to pre-load. Just Add Water CEO Stewart Gilray explained the plan is to allow users to start downloading the game on PS4 a day or two early, then unlock it preciesly at midnight on July 22.
Gilray added that the company is still trying to launch the PS3 and Vita versions "as soon as possible' after the PS4 version. The New 'n' Tasty pre-order bonuses are also Cross-Buy and Cross-Save, so you'll be able to use them in the other versions as well.
