No more Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Editions are being made

Retailers have received their last allotment of Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Editions

Well, folks, it's official. No more Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Editions are being made, so hopefully you managed to snag one of these very limited special bundles, which come with a real-life Pip-Boy to plug your phone into.

According to Bethesda, once the current allocation of Pip-Boy Editions have sold out, they will not be restocked, which could be bad new for those who missed out on the most recent availability of them.

"This last allocation was the final one to all stores in all territories," said Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing at Bethesda.

That being said, there's still a chance you could find a Pip-Boy at your local retailer, provided they didn't blow their load all in one go. "Each store is being given their final allotment. How and when they make the[m] available is up to them. But no more are being made," he confirmed.

Asked why the Pip-Boy Edition has been so limited, Hines explained, "There are only so many we can make and maintain a level of quality. We don't own our own factories." Hines continued to due to the strong demand, Bethesda has requested "multiple times" that the factories produce more. "We managed to get a few more, but that's it," he said.

Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition

For $119.99, the Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition includes a copy of the game packaged in a capsule case, and an exclusive Pip-Boy Replica that you can wear on your wrist. It doesn't actually work on its own, but you can emulate the in-game experience by running the Fallout 4 app and inserting your phone into the Pip-Boy. There's also a few other goodies included, but it seems most are concerned with the Pip-Boy.

So congratulations to those of you who managed to buy one. For those of you who didn't, I'm sure you'll be able to find it on eBay for about three times the price.

Fallout 4 launches on November 10 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
