Newegg’s LANfest 2K5, this July
30-31st in Pasadena CA announces new technologies for gamers to try out on the
15,000 square foot exhibitor’s floor.
ATI will bring Crossfire into public
view for the very first time. CrossFire ignites an entirely new gaming
experience by accelerating all your games, all the time, with the power of
multiple GPUs within a single PC. It provides the highest image quality and
screen resolutions even with the most demanding 3D titles. When gamers add a
CrossFire Edition graphics card, which includes the CrossFire compositing
engine, to their Radeon Xpress powered system they are doubling their graphics
rendering potential. With a variety of settings, they can use the rendering
horsepower to get up to twice the performance of a single graphics card, or they
can choose to put the horsepower to work increasing the image quality of their
games, making them look better than ever before.
AMD’s booth will featuring new
Dual-core 64-bit technology with the X24800 system, and will also have AMD
notebooks on hand with game demos showing off the power of dual-core. The AMD
