I'm not a huge fan of the Resident Evil film franchise. I have nothing against those that are fans of it; the movies just aren't for me. Then I hear my favorite character from the first Resident Evil game is going to be in the new movie, played by an actor I really enjoy. That's right, your favorite red vest-wearing, bearded badass is in Resident Evil: Retributions. Barry Burton is being played by Kevin Durand (Real Steel, Robin Hood, 3:10 to Yuma).
Now we have our first look at him in the movie. We also have some new pics of the polarizing character Alice standing in a room that's splattered with blood, accompanied by Ada Wong. There's also a ton of assault rifles and Michelle Rodriguez not driving a car from Fast and Furious.
Resident Evil: Retribution storyling according to Sony Pictures is:
The Umbrella Corporation's deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race's last and only hope, Alice, awakens in the heart of Umbrella's most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex.
I'm going to reserve judgement until I actually see it, but first I have to catch up from the second movie. I stopped watching after that one. Until the movie releases, enjoy this batch of photos.
Resident Evil: Retribution is set to release September 14, 2012.
