New details for the second Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens' trailer that's rumored to be attached to Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron have leaked. While nothing has been confirmed as of yet — we don't even know if there is a trailer, though we highy expect it given the magnitude of Age of Ultron — rumors stemming from Making Star Wars shed new light on what fans can expect.
Interestingly, some of the details fall in line with what we heard three months ago when we first caught wind that a new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens would be shown before Avengers: Age of Ultron. For example, Leia Organa/Skywalker (Carrie Fisher), Han Solo (Harrison Forde), C-3PO, and R2-D2 are all rumored to appear in the trailer. Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), however, is not.
As for the content of the new trailer, in no particular order, fans can expect the following:
***OBVIOUSLY POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW***
- The teaser is just under two minutes in length
- Iconic characters Han Solo, Leia Organa, R2-D2, and C-3PO are seen.
- Yavin is shown.
- Finn (John Boyega) is seen with a blue lightsaber.
- Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), the rumored "chrome Stormtrooper," is shown in a brief shot.
- Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) shoots down a TIE fighter.
- Finn and Poe walk past one another at the base.
- Rey (Daisey Ridley), rumored to be Han and Leia's child, is shown in a few shots.
- BB-8 (the cutesy rolly droid) is seen socketed in the back of an X-wing.
- Kylo Ren's Imperial shuttle flies by with TIE fighter escorts to a Star Destroyer.
- We see the Millenium Falcon again.
- X-wing fighters are in a Mighty Ducks "flying V" formation
- We see Darth Vader's helmet sitting on a podium
- Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) not seen.
- No Andy Serkis.
Again, none of this has been confirmed so treat this as nothing more than a rumor that gets us all very excited. For what it's worth, Making Star Wars has a pretty good track record for rumors.
Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens opens in theaters on December 18, 2015.
Meanwhile, Avengers: Age of Ultraon is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2015 in the United States. Expect the Star Wars trailer, if it's real, to show up around then.
