Nether’s new DLC brings maps, experience and rewards

Have you heard of Nether? It's a first-person survival game on Steam, that just got some new DLC.

The DLC, titled Nether Arena, comes after three other packs were released: Chosen, Watcher and Believer. If you purchased Chosen and Believer this DLC will be free for you – if you only purchased Watcher then you'll have to shell out $2.99.

Arena brings a new game mode to Nether,  it puts up to 16 players in an all out battle. Each player starts with a makeshift gun and crowbar, if you want another weapon you'll have to scavenge for resources and take down other players.

That's not it for the new content though, it also brings:

Maps: Duke it out with others in four new maps offering smaller, isolated areas for a faster-paced setting. Items are spawned in different locations at the beginning of every match creating a distinctive match experience each game.

Experience: Players continue to gain experience for their account level as all experience gained from Nether Arena is awarded to their account for every match played. All account level bonuses can be used in Nether Arena to give the player a slight advantage but will still have to use quick decision-making skills in order to survive.

Rewards: Rewards are handed out at the end of each match to the Last Man Standing as well as three additional players who’ve performed well during the match. All rewards are stored in the player Global Inventory and can be used in the regular game mode.

Nether is a first-person urban survival experience unlike any other. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Nether forces players to make life-saving decisions in a fast-paced struggle against players and the environment. Join tribes to battle for territory. Scavenge, craft , trade and loot your way to stay alive.
