Microsoft gets back at Sony with their backward compatibility video

Remember way back when in 2013 when Xbox One and PS4 were first launching and the subject to all kinds of media marketing frenzy and fanatical performance claims? Of course, we all do.

With the launch of Xbox One's backward compatibility players can now play over 100 Xbox 360 games on their Xbox One, something that PS4 can not do. In fact, Sony themselves have indicated they have no clue how Microsoft pulled it off. It's actually quite easy, but we'll spare you the details. The real fun is in the video Microsoft has put out to promote just how simple it is to play your Xbox 360 games via the new program. Check it out.

Now, you're probably saying "Ok Mike, so what's the big deal?". Nothing really, but if you remember MIcrosoft's launch of the Xbox One was slammed by many, including Sony themselves, for its lack of 1080P ability (which was actually false) and the whole always on DRM thing we no longer talk about. Along with the E3 announcement of the PS4 camera being "by choice" and a shot at the Xbox One Kinect, Sony published this video to show how you and friends can share your games on the PS4.

It's good to see these guys go at each other as a little friendly competition as it never hurt anyone and it shows good sportsmanship between the two companies. Whatever your console of choice is, both PS4 and Xbox One have been doing extremely well in their first two years.

What's your choice?

Just a guy lucky enough to talk about games with you fine people. "Don't ever tell anybody anything, when you do, you start missing everybody".
