Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain leaks reveal more gameplay details

Want aspects of the game spoiled? Here you go!

With only 17 days until Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain plenty of leaks can be expected. You have two choices, duck your head and pretend you didn't see anything or read through them. You never know exactly what you're going to get with leaks though, it could be some as huge as "Dumbledore dies in the end" or as little as "there's a sun painted a wall in the third mission."

We came across some new The Phantom Pain "leaks" and thought we would share them. It's nothing as serious as spoiling the plot, it's more focused on the gameplay aspects of the game.

Consider yourself warned, possible spoilers below:

  • Looks like you can airdrop animals into the battlefield in MGSV.
  • One MGSV boot camper said after playing the game for over 30 hours his completion was at 27%
  • Another recommended players take about one to two months to go through the game, because it's a game you shouldn't rush.
  • The mission areas are very large & a feature a lot of variety in the environments: Plains, mountains, valleys, cliffs, and even a fortress with caves.
  • When roads are slick from rain vehicles will be harder to control.
  • You can get emblems for Fultoning animals.
  • Campers praised the game's "total freedom."
  • When the boot campers talked about a particular mission, they discovered they'd all done it differently.
  •  Music starts playing at low volume when enemies are close, it stops after you Fulton or kill every soldier in an outpost.
  • When the music has stopped, environmental noises take over.
  • When a player interrogated a soldier on Mother Base, the soldier revealed the location of where he'd hidden diamonds.
  • Flies that are attracted to you because of your body odor will be present during cutscenes
