Mass Effect 3 art book includes in-game content

Earlier this week we reported that BioWare was including in-game content with all upcoming Mass Effect 3 figurines. Today, the developer has announced that the upcoming Mass Effect 3 art book will also include downloadable content for multiplayer and beyond.

"Art of the Mass Effect Universe" contains in-depth commentary from BioWare on characters, locations, vehicles, weapons, and much more. In addition, the book contains concept art from the beginning stages of development to today, just a little more than a month away.

If you pre-order the book, which will be available in several different retail stores, you'll get a code to download DLC on either the PC or Xbox 360 version of Mass Effect 3. "This will include the collector's rifle, among other cool content to beat out your opponents," the listing said. Whether or not the content will be random for each copy has yet to be announced, though the collector's rifle seems to be included with every code.

The Mass Effect universe is massive, and glorious in every sense of the words. Investing time, even in just the art book, will help you better understand the universe, and the characters in it. Throwing in some extra content for Mass Effect 3 isn't too bad of a deal either.

You can pre-order the book from Barns & Nobel for $26.91 by clicking here
