Logitech
Announces Deal with Nascar, Support of the Sony PSP, and New PC Controllers

In a recent
meeting with Logitech, they confirmed that they will be making peripherals for
Sony’s new PSP. Since the system isn’t out yet, Logitech didn’t have anything to
show, but they said they plan to have products out around the time of the PSP’s
release.

This is the first
portable system that Logitech has ever supported, and they are very confident
that the public will receive the PSP with open arms. This is exciting news for
both the PSP and the gamers looking forward to it since Logitech is known for
making reliable, high quality peripherals. Keep an eye out for more info.

New PC Controllers

Logitech had three
new controllers to show for the PC. The first was a new wireless controller
featuring a 2.4 Ghz wireless connection. It looks and feels much like a PS2
controller, but a bit bulkier. Sporting over 100 hours of battery life, it will
retail for $39.99 when it hits.

The second
controller has a cord, but features other nice things like rubber grips and
rumble. This controller is inspired by their Dual Action line and is expected to
be $29.99. Their third controller is geared toward a more entry-level type of
gamer. It is a bit smaller than their other controllers, does not have joysticks
or rumble, and is wired. Priced at $9.99 it gives gamers young and old the
option to get a cheaper but still high quality and functional PC controller.

Logitech signs with Nascar

Logitech recently
signed a deal with Nascar to make Nascar licensed steering wheels. There are a
variety of wheels planned and will be released in the coming months. Knowing
Logitech’s track record, we can definitely expect these wheels to be high
quality and perfect for playing the Nascar games.

No models were
ready to show, since they are still in the planning phase, but you can bet we
will share whatever information we get when it becomes available.
