Portal 2 DLC Possibly Launching This Summer

If you picked up Portal 2 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or PC when the game launched last week, you’ve probably completed the main campaign by now. Portal 2 lasts about 10 hours, and while that’s a decent length, it’s not exactly the same time commitment of an epic RPG.

Luckily, if you were left wanting more Portal 2, you’ll be happy to know that Valve plans on releasing more content for the game soon. In an interview with FastCompany.com, Valve’s Erik Wolpaw, Jeep Barnett, and Doug Lombardi revealed the developer’s plans for Portal 2’s upcoming DLC. “We will be announcing some DLC for it, so folks can keep a look out for more content coming this summer,” said Lombardi.

This is great news for gamers who plowed through the single-player and co-op campaigns in Portal 2, and it gives prospective players an extra little something to look forward to. It is currently unknown what exactly this new DLC entails, but let’s hope it’s more than just character costumes and other aesthetic features. Portal 2 players want more levels!

Valve will be releasing more info on the DLC for Portal 2 in about a week, so watch out for details. And if you have yet to play Valve’s hilarious puzzler, what are you waiting for?
