Infinity Ward Hires Glitching Group to Find Bugs in Modern Warfare 3’s Multiplayer

If people were asked what they best remembered about their first month playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, most would mention the numerous game-ruining glitches that plagued the game. Infinity Ward are looking to prevent another disaster, having hired a group (one based solely around finding glitches) to test Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer for bugs.

The group, called mapMonkeys and founded by a man named Rezzzo, revealed the information on their forums. Rezzzo added that this is not the first CoD title they have worked on. The group also worked to find bugs in both Call of Duty: World at War and Modern Warfare 2. Why will the outcome for MW3 be different than MW2’s, you ask? The founder revealed that the group only had two or three days to work on the past games, which wasn’t “nearly enough time” for them to find all of the devastating glitches. Rezzzo, talking about MW3, added, “Infinity Ward is keeping us there an entire week so we can find more bugs and glitches than ever before!”

While little glitches and bugs will most likely be present in the game, hopefully the company can eliminate the types found in MW2.
