Indie game Fez to release for additional platforms

Polytron's puzzle-platformer Fez is easily one of the best indie releases of 2012, but so far, it's only available for one system. That's about to change.

Creator Phil Fish recently announced in a blog post that he'll introducing Fez to new platforms.

"Yes, I’ve heard you, dozens of people emailing me every day telling me how much of an idiot I am for not porting Fez to everything," he wrote.

Fish also mentioned new plans for the soundtrack and possibly a U.S. branch for the Canadian developer.

"There’s a couple of new games in the pipeline, of course," he wrote.

Despite the success of Fez, which sold over 100,000 copies on Xbox Live Arcade, 2012 was not a perfect year for Phil Fish. He's received heat for criticizing Japanese games at the Game Developers Conference in March.

"I feel like I learned something, but I don't know exactly what it is yet," he wrote. "Keep your mouth shut maybe?"
