FIRSTGAMER
TO RELEASE INNOVATIVE TEAM-ORIENTED ONLINE COLLECTABLE CARD GAME IN JUNE 2001.

Manhattan,
KS — May 25, 2001 — FirstGamer announces today that the online collectable
card game, Hodge’s Spiral, will be released to the public in June of 2001. The
game, which is in its final stage of development, will feature large
team-based and free-for-all play, as well as one-on-one play.

"This
game is going to be one of the coolest online games on the Net," said
FirstGamer’s Content Director, Ryan Horn. "The whole trading aspect of it
is awesome. The game even comes with its own step-by-step tutorial showing how
to use the software as well as showing how to use a few cards. This game is
already a blast to play, but we’ve got plenty of other ideas in store for the
next incarnation."

Hodge’s
Spiral is a game for nearly all kinds of online gamers. Hodge’s Spiral is a
novel collectable card game designed specially for online play. Players choose
to play as one of three different races, each with its own set of cards and
different deck building strategies. Players will be encouraged to form teams
to participate in clan ladder tournaments, compete in one-on-one ladder
tournaments, and battle in traditional free-for-all games with their
customized decks.

The
technology developed by FirstGamer will allow Hodge’s Spiral to resolve card
actions and rules automatically without any player intervention. This is an
exciting break from previous card games that originated on cardboard in which
players must decide among themselves how the text on the card should be
played.

One
of the most important features of Hodge’s Spiral is the Web site, which lets
players download new cards for their libraries. The new cards they download
can be used to create and customize original decks. Players can even trade
their cards online to get the cards they are missing from their collections.

Best
of all, you don’t have to purchase anything to play. The game software is
free, and it even comes with a preconstructed deck of your choice.
