Here’s the Story Trailer for Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Coming this July

Comes with a free copy for a friend!

Bethesda just released a story trailer for their coop multiplayer spin-off nazi-shooter Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Besides giving a first glimpse at the game’s story we now also learn the release date for it. On July 26th gamers on the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will be able to experience what looks like yet another over-the-top shooter in the Wolfenstein series. Check out the story trailer!

Bethesda unveiled Wolfenstein: Youngblood last year during E3 and not much information has been shared ever since. We already knew about the interesting choice of protagonist or rather protagonists as Youngblood is not really a traditional sequel to 2017’s Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. This time, we are looking at a spin-off with a clear focus on cooperative gameplay. The franchise’s cult hero “B.J.” Blazkowicz takes a break here and leaves the spotlight for his two daughters, Jess and Soph.

Yes, there are two heroines in Wolfenstein: Youngblood and that’s a crucial part of the coop game design here. Youngblood is designed to be played with another friend from start to finish and Bethesda even goes as far as to promote this aspect that they basically give away a free copy of the game for every customer who purchases it. It’ll work like this. Every purchase of Wolfenstein: Youngblood will come with a so-called “Buddy Pass”. This can be then given to one of their friends who’ll be able to join the original owner’s game. That’s a pretty awesome tactic to further entice interested buyers and will no doubt make the decision for fans of coop action that much easier. There’s a catch, however. Only owners of the Deluxe Edition will receive a Buddy Pass to give away, but seeing the budget price point of the DE at only $39.99 this should hardly be a deal breaker. The Standard Edition on the other side costs just $29.99.

Another great new info we learn today is the intended target platforms for release. It’s basically every platform available. PC, PS4, Xbox One and even Switch will get Wolfenstein: Youngblood this July 26th.
