Mark Hamill regrets voicing doubts of Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s version of Luke Skywalker

Did you like Luke in The Last Jedi?

Prior to Star Wars: The Last Jedi releasing, Mark Hamill made it clear that he didn’t like the direction that Luke Skywalker was being pushed. At the time, Hamill admitted to ‘fundamentally’ disagreeing with director Rian Johnson’s decisions for Luke.

Now, Hamill is looking back at his past comments on Luke in The Last Jedi and is regretting his choice to go public with his doubts.

“I regret voicing my doubts & insecurities in public,” Hamill tweeted. “Creative differences are a common element of any project but usually remain private. All I wanted was to make good movie. I got more than that- @rianjohnson made an all-time GREAT one! #HumbledHamill”

Hamill definitely got his good movie and Disney got their box office hit with Star Wars: The Last Jedi. As of Wednesday, Star Wars: The Last Jedi made $844 million worldwide, making it the second highest grossing film of 2017.
