A new "sizable" patch for H1Z1 will be released tomorrow that will implement a new female character model, FIrst Person Battle Royale, and the Steam Marketplace. Although the official patch notes are expected to release tonight, developer Daybreak Game Company has outlined a few of the highlights.
- Female Player Model – You will now be able to choose between a male or female player model.
- Steam marketplace – We will be adding our game onto the steam marketplace so players can buy, sell and trade items in their account inventory with other players
- First person Battle Royale – We will be adding first person Battle Royale servers, this version of BR will act like a “hardcore” version of the game. It will include zombies and have some different rewards associated with them.
- Off Roader Interior – A higher res version of the interior for the Off Roader
Unfortunately, one of the side effects as a result of a patch this size is a full player and server wipe. Like last time, all of your items that are tied to your account will remain, but all items in your inventory and player built structures will be reset.
"We don't do wipes unless they are necessary and will improve the stability of the game," Daybreak said. "Those of you who have been through it before, wear your Player Wipe One shirts with pride this week."
While wipes can be frustrating for players who have made great progress, they are to be expected for a game that's in early access.
