Gamers who buy Hellblade today will have their proceeds donated in support of World Mental Health Day

Rethink Mental Illness.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is quietly one of 2017's most impactful games, not just because of the strength of its gameplay experience, but also in how it portrays someone dealing with psychosis. Today is World Mental Health Day, a day to spread awareness and understanding about those dealing with such issues and to talk about ways to make mental health care a reality for people.

To celebrate the event, Hellblade developer Ninja Theory has announced that all proceeds made from the game today will be donated to Rethink Mental Health, an organization in England that campaigns for national policy changes on mental health issues and provides resources to people and families who are struggling.

Here's the announcement from Ninja Theory:

It's worth noting that both the PC and PS4 version of the game are eligible and the developer has explicitly stated that "by proceeds, we mean the money Ninja Theory receives from retailers/platforms from the sales."

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice did not get any special discounts for the event, but it already retails at a reduced price of $29.99 and has accrued quite the positive feedback from fans and critics alike. For more on Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, you can check out the official GameZone review.
