visual effects

Montreal,
Canada, March 20, 2000
—Matrox
Graphics Inc. and Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. today announced that
Rollcage Stage II, the ultra-high-speed 3D car racing game, is currently
shipping with integrated support for the Matrox Millennium G400’s
Environment-Mapped Bump Mapping (EMBM).

Developed
by Attention to Detail, Rollcage Stage II offers a variety of single- and
multi-player games, each showcasing extensive EMBM effects on cars, engines,
tires and tracks for a visual feast of dazzling color and eye-catching detail.

"The
Millennium G400 is an impressive piece of kit," said David Perryman,
producer, Attention to Detail. "Seeing our effects rendered by the Matrox
G400 is a revelation–the explosions seem fuller, the environments seem more
real and the skies are breathtaking. The extra care that has gone into the
Matrox G400 renderer shines through in titles like Rollcage Stage II."

"The
level of speed you can attain in Rollcage Stage II makes the game incredibly
exciting and the visual effects are outstanding," said Jason Della Rocca,
developer relations manager, Matrox Graphics Inc. "The Millennium G400 is
the only graphics card currently on the market with integrated support for
EMBM, and that makes all the difference between simply playing this game and
being captivated by it."
