EverQuest
FINALLY HITS Europe!

Ubi
Soft® and 989 Studios(tm) sign a partnership agreement
for
EverQuest®:
The Ruins of Kunark(tm)

Ubi
Soft® Entertainment and 989 Studios(tm)/ Sony Online, a
subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment of America & Verant Interactive,
sign a partnership agreement for distributing EverQuest®: The
Ruins of Kunark(tm), THE benchmark for on-line role-playing games.
Verant Interactive developed the game, and Ubi Soft will distribute it
throughout Europe, as well as in Russia, Turkey and Israel. 27 April 2000 is
the expected release date for the PC CD-ROM in these regions, corresponding
with the American launch.

The
EverQuest®: The Ruins of Kunark(tm) add-on also
includes access to the original universe of EverQuest®. In
an eerie medieval world, you can set off on the quest of your choice on three
new continents, discover new characters, more than 20 new search areas and 3D
real-time environments that seem even more realistic.

European
gamers are looking forward to the release of EverQuest® so
that they can take part in this adventure along with the rest of the world.
Gamers have already been won over: on average, they connect more than 15 hours
per month. Chosen as Game of the Year in 1999 by GameSpot, EverQuest®
is destined for resounding success in Europe. Thanks to this agreement, Ubi
Soft confirms its presence in the flourishing on-line games market.
The
group is expanding its product range for the 15-30 year old market with
this worldwide best-seller and enabling everyone to express his or her passion
for games.

A
producer, publisher, and distributor of interactive entertainment software,
Ubi Soft
has teams in 16 countries and distributes its products in over
50 territories.
The group, which was created by the five Guillemot
brothers in 1986, has gained strong foothold on its market by creating
original products (Rayman®, Speed Devils(tm), Laura’s
Happy Adventures(tm), POD®, F1 Racing Simulation(tm),
etc.) and distributing the titles of other publishers (LucasArts Entertainment(tm),
The 3DO Company®, Entertainment Software Publishing, Inc.,
Europress, etc.).

Ubi
Soft generated turnover of FF 870 million (US$ 149 million) for fiscal year
1998/99, up 37.6%
over the previous fiscal year. Earnings for the
year reached FF 41 million (US$ 7 million), an increase of 41.2% over
1997/98.
