Almost everyone has a hobby. Some hobbies consist of collecting objects, and others consist of knitting. There are lists of hobbies online if you are looking to start one, but I have a quick question before you do: how far would you go? Would you own hundreds, if not thousands, of video games, hundreds of consoles — because you need every limited edition.
For the past 30 years, Ebay user *videogames.museum* has been collecting video games, consoles, controllers and various accessories (rumble packs, battery packs, memory cards, converters etc). How many games and consoles? Well lets take a look at the numbers:
- Games: over 6,850
- Consoles: over 330
- Controllers: about 220
- Accessories: about 185, (AC adapters, the various AV cables, the rumble packs, the memory cards, battery packs, the converters for the region locked games, and various other items like screens, printers etc.)
Luckily for you, the avid gamer, *videogames.museum* selling every last bit of this collection. They aren't even asking an insane price for the collection, just $550,000 USD. The collection contains every game of most series; Mario, Metroid, Final Fantasy, Zelda,Kirby, Castlevania, Metal Gear, Sakura Wars, Super Robot Taisen. There is only one catch — the seller isn't interested in you meager offerings to buy one game. On the description of the collection, they clearly stated that there was no interest whatsoever in single items. Don't even think about asking for prices for a couple of series; you make an offer and the seller will consider it.
Would anyone pay $550,00USD for that? I'll admit to loving video games, but unless I had another house (or a shack) to keep all these things in, I wouldn't even have a place to house them! Also, if I was to buy this, I'd have to share it… this is a gold mine of fun (and a reminder of where video games are today).
