While Battlefield 3 may not be as successful as Activision's Modern Warfare 3, in terms of sales, DICE's massive FPS is continuing to sell incredibly well.
Today, EA CFO Eric Brown announced during a Baird Technology Conference in San Francisco that the game has now sold 8 million copies to date. This number is up 3 million from the launch week's staggering 5 million sold.
In addition, Brown stated that the publisher has now shipped 12 million copies of Battlefield 3, up 2 million from the 10 million shipped during the title's launch week.
With the Back to Karkland map pack releasing in a couple weeks, it's only a matter of time before the publisher announces 10 million units sold. Congrats to both DICE and EA on a stellar shooter.
