Dying Light to release the first of eleven free DLC packs in September on PS4 and Xbox One

Get ready for some new enemies and challenges.

Give Techland credit; they are doing a great job of keeping the two-year-old Dying Light relevant in an age where games are easily disposed of in less than a year by both developer and fan in equal measure. Earlier, the developer had announced plans for a slew of free DLC packs for Dying Light; eleven of them to be exact. And they have announced that the first two of them, officially called Content Drop #0 and Content Drop #1 will land on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September, while PC players can grab Content Drop #0 now.

A trailer was released to show off Content Drop #0, and you can check it out below:

The biggest addition to the game from Content Drop #0 is the new Soldier enemy type, which comes packed with massive firepower and craftable armor for an all-new look for your character. Also, the new Mutated Goon will provide you will an extra challenge with its potent ground pound attack.

On top of that, players can also grab the Harran Military Rifle, but to do so, you must go through Techland's new digital distribution platform, Gemly

The rest of the DLC pack will release intermittently over the next year, so keep an eye out for those as well. For more information on Dying Light, you can check out the official GameZone review. The game is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
