State-Of-The-Art
Traveling Exhibition Brings Multi-Subject Active Learning-Based Software to
Children in Southern and Northern California, Starting September 2

 

BURBANK,
Calif. — (August 10, 2000) — This fall, for the first time, Disney
Interactive takes learning on the road with the Disney Big Rig, an
eighteen-wheeler truck turned state-of-the-art mobile showroom. Touring in
September and October to key Southern and Northern California Wal-Mart stores,
this traveling exhibition will bring the company’s multi-subject Active
Learning-based software titles to children and families in local markets
throughout these regions. The tour is designed to inform and excite children
and parents about the robust CD-ROM offerings in Disney Interactive’s
Learning category. The Disney Big Rig will show kids how to get the most out
of each Learning software program through on-site presentations and hands-on
demonstrations. The tour will focus on the following eight Disney Interactive
titles:

Disney
Interactive will support the launch of the Disney Big Rig with local marketing
and consumer advertising in each of the cities the mobile showroom visits. The
company will work with each Wal-Mart store to coordinate promotion through
flyers, circulars and radio spots.

 

Through
a technologically advanced audio/visual system, the Disney Big Rig will
showcase the product features of each Disney Learning title. With flexible
shelving units, versatile track lighting, a glow-in-the-dark ceiling and three
"pop-outs" for further expansion, the traveling exhibition will let
kids and parents experience first hand the depth, creativity and learning
benefits of each CD-ROM in a cool and fun Disney-themed environment.
