Despite feature being removed from site, Project Scorpio will feature “high-fidelity VR”

Yeah, it's still happening!

Project Scorpio has seen more attention over the last few days than it has since its reveal during E3 2016. This is mostly due to the July 2016 whitepaper for the device revealing some of the upcoming console's specs and that a game developer called the device a "full-blown next-gen machine."

After the console experienced a sudden spike in interest, someone noticed that "hi-fidelity VR" went missing from Scorpio's promotional website. This removal led to many tinfoil hats being donned and theories that VR plans had been nixed altogether for the console.

Microsoft has come out to refute those theories, saying that Scorpio will feature VR and it will be a "high-fidelity VR experience." A Microsoft representative released the following statement to GameSpot

"When Project Scorpio ships later this year it will be the most powerful console ever built with a 6 teraflop GPU to deliver true 4K gaming, high-fidelity VR experiences, and greater graphic fidelity. We have nothing additional to share at this time."

There you have it! VR confirmed for Scorpio…. Again.
