Deadly Premonition: Director’s Cut for PS3 officially confirmed

Did you see that, Zach? D … C … in the coffee!

Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro, the director/designer of Deadly Premonition, announced today that the cult hit game is finally coming to PlayStation 3 in North America as a Director's Cut.

The edition features a new scenario, high-definition graphics, reworked controls, and downloadable content "to expand the mystery beyond the original game." Rising Star Games is publishing the title as it did with the original for Xbox 360 in Europe.

"It's been awhile since Deadly Premonition was released, but I'm still receiving so many messages of support from fans around the world," said Swery in the press announcement today. "I'm writing some exciting new scenarios and adding some new features. All will be revealed over the coming months, and I'm confident I can deliver an unforgettable experience for you all."

The game is scheduled for Q1 of 2013. Swerty previously hinted at a sequel, as well.
