Dead Air Left 4 Dead 2 DLC to Arrive Early

Dead Air, one of the popular campaigns from Left 4 Dead, is gearing up to make its appearance in Left 4 Dead 2 as part of the Cold Stream downloadable update. Thanks to some zombie-slaying testers, Valve has announced that the campaign will be released to the public early.

Last week, Valve set a challenge to Cold Stream testers, promising that if 20,000 got the “Stream Crosser” achievement by completing the Dead Air campaign by the week’s end, then Valve would release the DLC in advance of its due date. 60,744 players succeeded in the task, and now we will be seeing the Dead Air DLC released before July 22.

The Dead Air portion of the Cold Stream update is only the first installment of the content to arrive. Two other add-ons will be released in the future, along with a user-created campaign that has been community-tested.
