Day-One Prey Patch 1.01 For PS4 Fixes Many Issues, Let’s See What’s Changed

Tidying up the anticipated return of Prey.

Bethesda and Arkane Studios have already set up the day-one Prey patch 1.01 for PS4. It fixes a number of issues, ironing out the title for release.

The patch notes were posted on the Gamefaqs forum, and detailed below. It's about 1.3GB in size and includes various fixes and improvements all over. The patch size on PC and Xbox One is unknown currently, but most likely will be similar.

The common audio issue has been addressed where booming, epic music plays even when there's a small, unimposing enemy about. Eurogamer noted:

"Another issue that deserves a mention centres on the audio mix. The music here is excellent but its usage is often grating with a loud battle tune kicking in whenever an enemy shows up. Even if it’s just a single mimic that you can kill in seconds, the booming music continues for a while – an overblown dramatic effect for what is effectively a routine in-game skirmish. It spoils the mood somewhat and becomes annoying after a while. Thankfully, as with the control issue, the team has heard the feedback and is looking at addressing this design quirk"

The input lag on PS4 has yet to be noted, but it's a common issues among users. The game is slated for release later this week on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Hopefully, the input lag can be rectified by then, or soon after.
