Cyberpunk 2077 shows first PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 gameplay

Promising for gamers on all platforms

With just two weeks for its launch, Cyberpunk 2077 gets a new gameplay trailer. This time, it’s all about the PlayStation with nice new direct capture from the PS4 and PS5. Enjoy it here!

It’s getting slightly ridiculous. In just 15 days, the elusive Cyberpunk 2077 finally releases. Despite a last-minute delay, it sure feels like the anticipation for the ambitious open-world action-RPG is reaching a fever point.

No doubt thanks to CD Projekt Red ramping up their game’s marketing with plenty of gameplay footage. During the recent, relatively short 21-day delay, fans got not one but a whole three separate new videos.

The first focused solely on Xbox footage, both on the Xbox One X and Xbox Series X. Then we got the final Night City Wire episode detailing Keanu Reeves’ character Johnny Silverhand. So, how fitting then that today PlayStation users have a reason for joy.

CD Projekt partnered up with Microsoft for the promotion of Cyberpunk 2077. Hence, why special Xbox One consoles and controllers were released. But that also meant that little to no footage of the PlayStation versions came either.

This changes now. For the first time, owners of a PlayStation can catch a glimpse at how the game will look and run on their console of choice. And the results are promising. Sure, Cyberpunk 2077 will arguably run best on the next-gen PlayStation 5, but that doesn’t mean that PS4 owners will have a bad experience.

After all, the PS5 will play the regular PS4 version via backward compatibility in the end. Meaning, even you play Cyberpunk 2077 on the more powerful PS5, you’ll get the exact feature set as the current-gen. Just like the situation between the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

A proper next-gen upgrade will come sometime next year for the new consoles. That will enable 60fps and enhanced visuals.
