Criterion and EA Unveil Burnout Crash! For XBLA/PSN

Electronic Arts and developer Criterion have announced what fans of the Burnout series have been hoping for: Burnout Crash! for XBLA and PSN.

The game centers around the return of the franchise’s famous Crash mode, but in a different way than you might have remembered. Crash! will be a top-down style game, which differs from the third-person style that was in the original mode.

The downloadable game will be available this fall and will reward players for causing the most mayhem on intersection set pieces. The game will feature 3 modes, 18 intersections, and 6 locations for players to cause mayhem. Multiplayer, Autolog technology, and unlockable vehicles will also be in the game, giving it replayability.

Kinect owners can also use its capabilities in an exclusive mode, where two players compete against each other on the same TV.
