Crafting added to Minecraft Pocket Edition

A new update to Minecraft Pocket Edition has added crafting.

Since the game's mobile release, Mojang has been looking to appease fans letdown by the game's lack of Survival mode.  Mojang has since started to introduce "Survival" aspects to the game, with the addition of health, mobs, day/night in the last update for Minecraft Pocket Edition.

Today's update, now available for download, adds crafting through Minecraft Advanced Touch Technology Interface System, or MATTIS for short.  Here's how ti works:

  1. First, fire up your inventory.
  2. Click on Craft
  3. Choose your category.
  4. Choose the item you want to craft. DONE!

In addition to crafting, Mojang has added a few other things to the game like cows, ducks, description text for inventory items, and refining zombie AI.

You can download the Minecraft Pocket Edition update from the iOS AppStore and Google Play.
