Club Nintendo Rewards to Include Downloadable Games

Nintendo's been doing some pretty cool things lately. First, it launched The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which is an excellent game. Then it released a welcome update for the 3DS that adds and fixes a few things. Good on them!

Now, Nintendo has done it again. If you've got games for the Wii, DS, or 3DS that you have yet to register, you may want to get on top of that. It turns out the Club Nintendo site is getting a redesign, and Nintendo Everything reports that free downloadable games are among the newest rewards for gamers. Sweet!

Until January 10, 2012, you can snag Fluidity (150 coins) or Super Mario Kart (100 coins) on the Wii. On the 3DS side of things, you can download 3D Classics: Xevious (100 coins) and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! (150 coins). Following this cut-off date, the games will be removed and replaced by other titles. Not a bad deal!

It should be noted that the Club Nintendo site is currently undergoing several changes and some maintenance work, so it may be buggy. Additionally, users have reported that the games were removed from the "View Rewards" tab, so be patient while the Big N irons out some wrinkles in the new site design. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some games to register.
