NEW
ARTS & CRAFTS CD-ROM LETS KIDS ‘CLICK & CREATE WITH MIA’ THE WORLD’S
MOST LOVABLE DIGITAL RODENT

Scheduled
for Fall Release; Will Include Downloadable Mia MP3 Player

LOS
ANGELES (May 18, 2001) E3 Booth #6033, Kentia Hall — Mia, the skateboarding
mouse from Kutoka Interactive whose wacky CD-ROM adventures have already
turned literacy, science and soon math into a game for thousands of children,
will be returning with a paintbrush in hand for Click & Create with Mia
–an arts and crafts joyride that offers activities ranging from drawing and
painting to pasting, projects and do-it-yourself multimedia animations,
featuring characters and scenes straight out of the award-winning Mia series.

Designed
for children 5 and older, Click & Create with Mia is a self-contained
CD-ROM art studio that combines computer-based activities with hands-on
pursuits utilizing pre-cut shapes and other art materials included in the
product’s carrying case.

Many
of the activities feature Mia and her friends, allowing children to revisit
their favorite characters from the Mia series. Mia also appears in a special
window to offer suggestions (“Why don’t we make a birthday card for your
Mom?”), tell jokes (“What does a Pokemon with a cold sound like? Pikachu!!”)
and provide verbal assistance on specific questions (“Use the slider to make
the line thicker”), giving kids an opportunity to personally interact with
the vivacious rodent.

As
a bonus, purchasers will be able to download a free Mia MP3 Player from a link
at www.kutoka.com. The player will include original songs sung by Mia and also
play any MP3 song with an animated Mia moving to the beat. It will be
available to buyers of any Mia title who register at the Kutoka site.

One
Product Five Activity Centers

Click
and Create with Mia lets children choose from a wide range of activities to
keep busy. The Painting activity center invites kids to paint free-form
pictures of Mia and her friends as well as scenes from their many adventures
with the computer mouse, copying images from the program and choosing colors
at whim. The Learn To Draw section offers step-by-step instructions for
drawing simple animals, plants, robots, vehicles and cartoon characters, with
a special auto-correct feature that transforms kids’ scribbles into
straight, smooth and curved lines.

In
the Paste-it section, children can invent images on the screen and then use
the art materials included in the package to build them live. In the Projects
center, kids can create printable art ranging from greeting cards and banners
to stationery, diary pages, mobiles and paper airplanes, using pre-designed
templates and Mia clip art or their own imagination. And the Multimedia center
makes it possible to pick a background, superimpose any number of Mia
characters and objects, add music and arrange the instrumentation, and watch
the page come to life.

Images
created in the Projects section can be dragged and dropped to other parts of
the program, and still images of kids’ favorite multimedia pages can be
inserted into the Projects section. The result is a highly interactive program
that provides hours of fun to any child whether this CD-ROM is his or her
first encounter with Mia, or whether he or she has fallen in love with Mia
from earlier titles.
