Check out these beautiful pieces of Red Dead Redemption 2 concept art

A little over two years ago, Rockstar released one of their most acclaimed games with Red Dead Redemption 2. It was widely celebrated as one of the most beautiful, story-rich games of the generation. Rockstar is well-known for their detailed worlds and it’s no surprise that their games are built with that in mind.

GTAForums user deadasdisco (via VideoTech_ on Twitter) uncovered some absolutely gorgeous RDR 2 concept art. The concept art comes from Daren Bader (concept artist for the RDR series), giving us a glimpse at various moments and locations from the western. We see a few shots that seem to be from the game’s snowy opening mission, Guarma, and the valleys and meadows of the open world. There’s also some early art of characters like Rains Fall. You can click here to view all the pieces from Bader and scroll down to see a few highlights.

Rockstar recently made Red Dead Online a standalone game on all platforms. Sadly, they also revealed they have no plans to make any single-player DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2. There is still a commitment to story content from Rockstar but we won’t get any expansions like Undead Nightmare again. In semi-related news, rumors also indicate Bully 2 was canceled in 2017 in favor of putting more developers on Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Rockstar’s next release will be a port of Grand Theft Auto V on PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021.
