It's official. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has finally eclipsed Red Dead Redemption at the top of the Xbox One backwards compatibility polls.
During an action-packed week for Treywarch, with the reveal of Black Ops 3: Zombies at the San Diego Comic-Con, they can now boast yet another achievement. One of their previous titles, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has reached top spot on the Xbox One backwards compatibility vote.
GameZone has been watching the backwards compatibility polls very close in recent weeks and noticeably Red Dead Redemption has held a solid lead, until now. The Zombies fever is among us folks, and Red Dead has taken the fall. It would seem that the prospect for gamers to play previous Zombies game modes is too good to turn down.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has been surging towards the finish line across the last week or so, and now it is THE most "in demand" Xbox 360 title.
The top 10 in the backwards compatibility polls are the following:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II: 70,993
- Red Dead Redemption: 70,986
- Skyrim: 65,786
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: 58,123
- Halo Reach: 57,460
- Call of Duty: Black Ops: 49,332
- Gears of War 3: 47,147
- Fallout 3: 45,642
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare: 42,731
- Mass Effect 3: 37,986
As you can see in the list above their has been little movement in terms of places, holding the same top ten since our last update. This suggests that these games are in fact the games that people want to replay on their Xbox One console.
Crucially, since our last upate Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has received a total of 4732 votes, allowing it to surpass Red Dead redemption, a title that has received just 3548 since our last count. As previously mentioned, the draw of Zombies as well as the general Call of Duty hype has probably swayed voters.
So it's heating up at the top of the polls, who wins? You decide.
