Batman vs. Superman made Michael Shannon fall asleep while watching it

Ring the bell, it's over

Now, this is a good one. First, we need to skip over the arguing and just finally admit that Batman vs. Superman Dawn of Justice was quite simply not a good film. We there yet? Good. We can move on.

In a recent interview with Fandango, Michael Shannon was promoting one of his upcoming films Nocturnal Animals and was asked about the film. Shannon played Zod in Man of Steel and was the corpse that Luthor used to create Doomsday in Dawn of Justice. Shannon's reply, well, it was simply poetic justice

"You’re gonna get me in trouble, man!  People ask me about this all the time. Okay, I’ll tell you the god’s honest truth. Zack [Snyder] is gonna kill me for this – he’s gonna kill me. I watched it once and I fell asleep."

Shannon chalked up the sleep to being tired and watching it on a plane during an international flight, so sure, let's go with that. Dawn of Justice took a lot of flack, and rightfully so, but hopefully Justice League will be able to right the ship as well as Wonder Woman, both of which release next year.

Nocturnal Animals, Shannon's current film, stars he and Jake Gyllenhaal. He plays a detective on his way off the force, but decides to help a man one last time finding his missing wife and daughter. The movie releases this month in theaters.
