Atlus USA president switches to Xseed

After eight years working as company president and chief executive officer of Atlus USA, Shinichi Suzuki has moved on.

Suzuki is now the president, CEO, and chief financial officer of Xseed Games, which localizes the Ys series and is set to publish Ragnarok Odyssey and Orgarhythm for PlayStation Vita this year.

“I have always respected Xseed Games, so this was an opportunity I could not pass up,” said Suzuki. “This is an exciting time for the industry and our company, and I look forward to navigating a course of success through the exciting changes in store as we advance Xseed’s publishing efforts by bringing even more highly anticipated titles to market across multiple platforms.”

Both Xseed and Atlus are known for localizing niche titles — Atlus publishes the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series, along with other titles like the upcoming Etrian Odyssey 4 (just confirmed) and Code of Princess — and both help enrich the selection of games in North America. We'll have to wait and see how this change affects either company's future.
