Adult Swim travelled to Africa to
hand pick songs for African Swim and to meet featured artists like Jozi, Gumshev
and Maggz face-to-face. African Swim will also feature interviews and
performances that will be available for view at adultswim.com that will
highlight the inspiration and talent behind the innovative music. In addition,
there will be a free gameplay demo and an exclusive inside look at the making of
the highly anticipated first-person shooter game Ubisoft’s Far Cry 2, also set
in Africa and scheduled to release October 21, 2008.

"Adult Swim is constantly on the
lookout for great new music, and this year we jumped at the chance to introduce
our fans to a music sampling from Africa where hip-hop is a vital force and a
growing genre of music. African Swim is a collection of the best songs that we
brought back from the Motherland,” said African Swim creative director Jason
DeMarco.

Jason DeMarco has been at the
forefront of Adult Swim’s free online albums, like Warm and Scratchy, Chocolate
Swim and Ghostly Swim. DeMarco is also creative director of promotions for both
Adult Swim and Cartoon Network and A&R for Williams St. Records.
