Rayman Legends dated for Xbox One, PS4 release

Ubisoft announced today the release dates of Rayman Legends on next-gen consoles. It will be available for Xbox One and PlaySTation 4 on February 18 in North America, and on February 20 in Europe.

Both versions of the game will include new unlockable, playable characters; however, depending on your platform, the characters offered will differ. The Xbox One will get Ray Vass and Far Glob, two characters inspired by Far Cry 3's Vaas, as well as Splinter Ray, a Sam Fisher-inspired hero. PlayStation 4, meanwhile will get to play as Assassin Ray, a character inspired by Edward Kenway from Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. Using Uplay points, players on either console can purchase the "outrageous playable hero" Funky Ray.

Lastly, players also have the possibility to be awarded an exclusive "VIP hero" called Champion Ray, which can be unlocked by the most active and highest-ranked players in the ONline Challenges, as well as through "active participation and involvement" in the Rayman Legends community.

A few other additions include 10 exclusive challenges on the Xbox One version and special Camera Mode on the PS4 which allows you to share pictures you take using the DualShock 4 touchpad and the console's built-in share functionality.
