Traditionally, I'm a PC gamer, but I bought the Wii U for my autistic 5-year old and have ended up loving it myself. There are unique aspects of the Wii U that are underappreciated. As an example, I'll point to CoD: Ghosts, which I bought for the Wii U. I find playing with the nunchuk and Wii remote to be dynamic and engaging. It offers a level of physical interaction with the game even greater than what I experience on the computer when I play Planetside 2 and BF4. I wish that Nintendo would create their own FPS type game that could make its way onto the competitive/MLG circuit. It would certainly lend more cred to this underappreciated aspect of the Wii U. (I know the new Dual Shock controllers have a touch pad to create a more mouse-like experience, but I find it hard to use it and hit all the buttons at the same time. That makes it less ideal for FPS games that require a lot of keybindings than I'd hoped.) I would add that I also love the ability to play games like Super Mario 3D World and Assassin's Creed 4 in bed on the Wii U Gamepad. It's a nice change from needing to sit at my PC to game. I have no desire to denigrate the XBOX One or PS 4. There is something to like about all of the systems, but since I already own a gaming computer, the Wii U offers me the greatest range of titles and experiences, since many titles on XBOX One and PS4 will also be released on PC.
