The main problem with scrolls is Hearthstones release comes closer everyday and the fact scrolls has a small playerbase that keeps quitting because content and incentives to continue playing just aren't coming. Scroll's needs to speed up adding more cards and boosting the amount of players because we've got a few other indie card games and the huge powerhouse of Blizzards Hearthstone coming very soon.

Online play/multiplayer has been hurting single-player games since the marketing guys decided it sells games better. When some half-assed multiplayer part gets "tacked" onto a pure single player game you can really feel it...

Whoever wrote this review was a little harsh and doesn't quite understand the action rpg genre... Firstly I previewed this game back in may and it was released on may 22nd, so why is this review so late? Additionally the overall feeling from gamers and journalists was that his game was quite good and even better quite cheap! I enjoyed Van hellsing and really don't understand most of the points you're coming from, especially on a game released late may... I enjoy crazy golf. Does this make a golfer because I use a putter?

Gamer has never been defined per say, but most people who call themselves gamers would play either a console or pc. Additionally based on the limited info provided by USATODAY, clearly the largest amount of female gamers are 35+ and will most likely be facebookers and such. So tell me if playing farmville or any other additive facebook game would class you as a gamer by 99% of the players/gamers out there? Then again would a middle aged mum who enjoys the odd game on facebook even want to/agree with being classed as a gamer?

@Augie D, You could view it that way, but "indie" was never really mainstream until more people became aware of the amount of small time programmers who were making stuff because they've been doing it forever! You don't need to buy a license to someones engine to make a game.

iphone/ipad games of today are the flash/java games for 10 ish years ago. At no point can someone claim to be a "gamer" by only playing on a device that has games with next to zero depth, story or anything to that matter. Now I do agree that most games (AAA) almost have the same style of iphone games but with better graphics, hehe
