Should be more concerned of the idiot parents buying a 5 year old child a 3D game system when the warnings clearly state they should be 6 years or older to avoid any permanent damage to their vision.

Not hating, but how do you compare 60 dollar game sales to 12 dollar movie ticket sales? By that rationale they are short 176 Million
Still, thats like bragging that you sold 4000 merecedes nationwide in one day and took out the movie industry's record, now Merecedes is thinking of coming out with a movie. Apples to Oranges really.

I bought one and there is still only a handful of games worth owning. Everyone including developers are moving to mobile and tablet gaming, so they had that already against them, then they tried to get cute with the memory card switch to make more money and pretty much isolated any PSP fans that were on the fence. It is so odd to own such a powerful piece of mobile gaming equipment that has little to no game support for it. Reminds me of the old Panasonic 3DO or Atari Lynx attempts. Just odd someone would make a mistake like that in this day and age with technology trends all around us.

Glad I read this review, I was on the fence honestly after a couple adaptations really jumped the shark for me. This sounds like it's back to the good stuff. Now just have to decide between the Vita version and a console version, hate to pass up big screen graphics and surround sound, but would be cool to play on the road.

Have you actually played one yet? I did the demo today at Gamestop and the reason a lot of people mentioned the iPhone gaming comparison is cause a lot of the new games are geared towards being one, Little Deviants for example. I don't need a front facing camera a rear camera and touch screen controls that’s what my phone is for. They put too much time into the gimmicks and not enough into the power. The games barely looked any different than the PSP hardware, I honestly could not even tell the difference on Hotshots golf. If all the game makers would stop trying to copy each other and get back to what core gaming use to be about, more power, better graphics than they wouldn’t lose all these sales on every new unit with these useless features. I was pumped up and on board after reading your article, but now that I have laid hands on one I think it is premature to praise it or buy one just yet, especially if sales tank and there is a price drop like the 3DS. I recommend everyone pick one up and demo it I guarantee you will be more interested in waiting and reading reviews for these games before wasting your money on yet another current trend of gimmicks. It’s not like they needed to reinvent the wheel here all anyone has ever been asking for since mobile gaming came about was a portable console with dual analog controllers and high powered graphics you could take on the road. That’s all you need and all most want, this offering will be the closest yet but in my opinion still not deserving of a must buy.
