Seeing as how Nintendo had Rare and sold it to Microsoft, which seemed like a bad idea at the time, but proved to be not so dumb after all; I find it incredibly hard to believe that they would admit to being wrong by trying to buy it back. This rumor is purely that, and has no basis in truth, and was probably started by some kid who just wishes it were true.
