Mike Splechta commented on Microsoft Says Xbox One X Couldn't Achieve True 4K at $399:
Lol absolutely no salt here, I think the console and price is fine. I just think Microsoft is stretching things a bit with their constant narrative of True 4K. If anything, that statement has to have an asterisk. If anything, I'll give Sony points for stating right from their initial reveal that games will use checkerboard rendering to achieve Faux 4K. Were people disappointed? Sure, but it ended up looking just fine in the end, same like the Xbox One X will look just fine. I think your fanboyism is blinding you from what my comment meant. Checkerboarding is fine, but don't call it true 4K. Also, it's probably #1 on Amazon's wishlist because people can't wait to buy it out and sell it at 2-3 times the profit. Using Amazon's wishlist as an indicator is grasping. I will tell you this. All this news out of E3 confirmed to me that I'm perfectly happy with my OG Xbox One, and don't see the need to spend $500 on the "most powerful" console. My OG will be just fine

Welp, seemingly can't achieve it at $499 either, if AC: Origins and Anthem is anything to go by

Mike Splechta commented on Project Scorpio doesn't require FPS parity with standard Xbox One:
You guys are all celebrating but it's still up to the developer. You think a developer is going to give the middle finger to a majority of their fanbase playing on an OG Xbox One or the S, thus giving those with a Scorpio an advantage? Come on, use your brains folks. The only way I could see this going is if they hardcode 30fps into the multiplayer, but allow 60fps on single. Otherwise, I highly doubt people will be seeing Destiny 2 in 60fps, which is the reason I'm assuming this newspiece exists.
