If we're talking purely quality, then maybe. Rayman Legends is awesome, no doubt about that. But OlliOlli 2 and Valiant Hearts are definitely the best of the bunch here.

Yeah good point, I think when I say general gaming public, I meant more so not the hardcore gaming public, like the ones who would be interested in the series no matter what, but I certainly see your point, and I do apologize for that blanket statement. Trust me, I fall into the same category of gamers that grew up on this stuff, so it doesn't bother me in the least bit, but it's unnerving how this sort of stuff weighs on how people can view a game. I mean look at some of the more recent reviews of games featuring busty and sexualized characters and it's apparent that this very thing is being heavily weighed. Now don't get me wrong, reviews have become largely subjective, so when someone doesn't particularly like a design choice, they can certainly voice their opinions on it, but I've always subscribed to the idea that those kinds of opinions should have no baring on the overall score. Went a little off on a tangent there, but TL;DR, I agree with your statement
