GingerFeed: Yeah I played the PC version and it mostly looks fine, but if you get really close to objects the textures are really pixelated.

Totally deserving. This isn't a ten for gameplay alone, but the underlying themes that grip Columbia from start to finish. It's the little things...
Yeah, the story is awesome. It's most of the reason I loved the game. I thought the gameplay wasn't that great in some parts. The combat gets really repetitive, and that really started to bug me about half-way through. There aren't enough different kinds of enemies, so it usually just throws like 20 of the same type of solders and a handful of those George Washington mechs at you in nearly every fight. I kept playing because the story was so good. I'd give it a 10 if that wasn't the case, but I give it a 9 due to that.

Giving it a 10 is really, really pushing it but yes it's a fantastic game. I wouldn't call it the best of this console generation personally, but I can see how one would make the argument for it. I personally enjoyed Dead Space 1 and Hitman Absolution a little better. (Hitman more for the gameplay than the story, I know the oldschool Hitman purists tend to hate it, but they're being closed-minded just because it's story driven) I think Infinite is a very strong 9.0. It's by no means perfect, and I think when the people who give it perfect scores settle down a bit they will realize there are definitely some flaws. They're too involved in the great storyline to notice yet, though.
