I'll say this, as a runner, he's one of the best I've ever seen from the QB position. But as a passer, BEFORE THE INJURY, he's nothing special. He's very mediocre in that regard. Michigan fans proved to be the most passionate, and that's why he's on the cover.

Please, let's stop referring to him as a QB. If you look at his 2011 numbers, he threw 20 TD and 15 INT... hardly cover worthy. Also, before the injury which I believe came against Illinois (?), the Wolverines were 3-2, losing to two good teams and beating three bad ones -- Purdue, Mass and Air Force. Here's how he fared against those five teams... Alabam: 42% 200 yd 1td 2int, Air Force: 56% 208 yd 2td 1int, Mass: 66% 291yd 3td 1int, Notre Dame: 54% 138yd 0td 4int, Purdue: 50% 105yd 1td 0int
