Nintendo smashed it this year at E3. To anyone who would say otherwise, I'd have to seriously question their judgement.

Guy writes an article about the overwhelming "political" affiliations gamers focus on instead of games, and the comment section explodes with biased fanboys defending their favored love-companies. Quoting which one has the better RAM, which one has the most games in production (even though their focus should be quality over quantity), which one cares about the gamer, etc... They're not listening man, their ears are closed.

i like how you say you aren't taking a side, yet you're clearly siding with the xbox one
He's not siding with it, he's using it as an example. Because right now, hating the Xbox One is the "cool" thing to do. Hating the PS4 isn't. And his point can be for people who hate on PS4 also. And Nintendo. WAY too many people hate on Nintendo like it's the plague or something, when they have the best lineup of exclusives coming of any console I've ever seen, and I've been gaming since the late 80's. Listen to what he's saying instead of getting defensive over which side he's taking. If you were truly unbiased, you wouldn't get you feathers ruffled over this.

Haha, I actually thought you were serious for a moment. Well said, it's that type of irrational thought that is inexcusable. You know the most unfortunate thing about bias and stigma? It will lead many to overlook great consoles and games. They'll miss out on some of the best games ever made simply because they were on the "other team's" console. I personally buy ALL the consoles. I have a Wii U and absolutely love it. Really, it's just fantastic. Worth every last cent and then some. I also own a 3DS- again, just a phenomenal system. A also own a Vita- excellent system. Even though it's a little short on must-have exclusives, I still think it's great. I also have both a PS4 and Xbox One pre ordered. I think the problem is people can't afford all the consoles, so instead of admitting they're missing out, they'll rationalize with themselves and justify not having the other consoles. They'll make up lies and tell themselves "Well that console sucks, I don't want it anyways"

Fair enough. You have every right to hold a preference. Just like I prefer the Wii U over PS4 and Xbox One (although I've pre ordered both other consoles so I'll own all three). But keep in mind, it's the better choice for YOU, not for everyone. That's the point the author is making. YOU may feel one console is the better choice, just like I do, but that doesn't mean your decision is the final word for everyone.

When did Microsoft, stop caring about Gamers? (don't tell me that the Casual centric Unveil, of the x1 was anything but... hell, support has died...
You're right, all MS cares about is money. BUT, you act as if Sony is any different. Sure, their policies may have ultimately been what gamers wanted, but believe me, they DO NOT CARE about you, or me, or anyone else. Their policies were a ploy to get gamers to buy their console, and apparently it worked. They didn't implement no DRM because they care about you, they did it to get one over on MS and create the illusion they care about you. And you're eating it up like it's chocolate cake. Even Nintendo, which I have the most respect for out of the three, even they are a business and care about money. So don't act all self-righteous like "your precious love-company" cares about you so much.

This attitude is exactly the problem he's referring to. It's not harmless fun anymore. It's become like politics, where ANYTHING MS does is garbage now from Sony fanboys point of view, and ANYTHING Sony does is garbage from MS fanboys point of view, and EVERTHING Nintendo does is garbage from both MS and Sony fanboys point of view. If you feel that way toward MS, that's fine, don't buy their console, but don't try to preach your opinion to anyone who disagrees. Don't attack people who prefer to game on the Wii U simply because "Nintendo made it". Sony and MS have excellent 3rd party games, but few great 1st party games. Nintendo has excellent 1st party games but few great 3rd party games. But ALL OF THEM have something to offer gamers. We're just sick of the insults- it's like watching MSNBC and Fox News 24/7 now on these gaming sites. Just ENDLESS illegitimate attacks and insults. It's gotten to the point that MS could hand out free money and people would find a way to complain about it. Or Nintendo could have the best lineup of any console generation in history, and people would say the games suck. Be rational, and don't let emotion blind your judgement. That's all we're saying.
