While I love this news, and am excited for Shovel Knight, and all that, I do have to be the jerk who points out... doubling their goal would put them over 150k. But now they're up to 149 (at time of comment), so it's looking like time will prove you right regardless!

Yep, this rolls very nicely into Sony's announcements that the PS4 is heavily indie- and developer-focused... hoping they can make good on those promises, because I don't see the DRMbox getting much friendlier as they push further and further into mass-market entertainment..

Wouldn't mind him heading over to Gearbox... outside of the Borderlands franchise, their releases tend to lack polish and fall flat to market. Seems like a problem this hirsute man can help solve.

Sounds like a lot of tears from the Cry-guys. Make the world's loveliest tech demos, cater to PC power -- nothing wrong with that -- but don't be surprised when people give you flak for unchallenging gameplay and lamely designed maps. Afraid they've fallen into the trap of "well, it's bigger than the last one, so it's obviously the best."
