For me, the two man fireteams and the new twist that the hotspot modes put on the classic explosive arm/disarm modes in the FPS genre do enough to make it stand out as it's own game. This game is getting harshly reamed because it's being compared to two games that it should not be compared to. As it's own game, the MP is memorable, and I am not sure how much else 'new' can be done in SP for military shooters....but most people won't be buying it for that. BF3's SP is a joke and it didn't get counted off for that because again, it's meat is in the MP.
